A day full of French Canadians

With our friends due in San Antonio sometime tonight we spent the day around the trailer spiffing things up and watching old cowboy movies.

In addition to more rain, San Antonio also experienced a minor earthquake overnight. A 3.0 trembler, which we did not feel, hit in the early morning hours. So we've had a little bit of everything here.

One of my all-time favorites was on today, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” which Joan had never seen. Then we watched “Cowboys” with Robert Duvall as we washed indoor windows and reorganized the trailer.
I spent some time on the computer investigating wineries in the Texas Hill Country for a possible visit there this week.

About 4 p.m. we took our daily walk around the park and noted that the next wave of Quebec RVs has arrived. A total of 24 new rigs, some of them quite luxurious, showed up this afternoon all from Quebec. Oh, there were a couple other stragglers, including new license plates from Maine and North Carolina. So we have now had 37 states show up since we have been here.
As we walked we waved to a couple of the new French Canadian arrivals and got the usual no response back. I don’t think you have to understand English to understand a simply wave of “hello.”

Anyway, we had Taco Salad for dinner and we are in for the night. Sorry no photos today.
