Local weather forecasters predicted icy roadways this morning and with a fairly long trip to church we decided it would be safer to stay in.
With outside temperatures in the 30s and wind speeds in the teens, we huddled pretty much inside the trailer most of the day, except for a quick trip to the Walmart Supercenter for some much needed groceries. There were so many people in the store that we had to bring a cart in from the parking lot for the second time in a week because all the carts in the store were taken.
There must be some kind of sale going on because there was merchandise everywhere, mostly on the floor and it looked like a bomb had gone off in the store.May have mentioned this previously, but one could learn good deal of Spanish just by reading the bilingual signs in the store.
My friends Jan and Norm are making their way home to California (it was just a week ago they arrived and watched the Super Bowl with us last Sunday) and last night Norm sent me a copy of the old time photo they had taken in a store in San Antonio.I’m sharing that photo here just to show you what a great cowboy Norm makes. Jan makes a pretty good “Jenny” too.
The photographer asked them to do one picture smiling and another picture serious. Either way, Norm really looks the part of Doc Holliday. One good thing about tonight is that the Detroit Red Wings are on television tonight, so that will be fun to watch. Warmer temperatures are on the way, so the owners of the park promised this morning.
Oh, and just to let you know how exciting today was, Joan washed the towels and bed linens. Now that’s exciting.
